For the Love of the Gods: an intro to theurgy with some flaws

Welcome to this month's book review by Druid Foxx. This month's book is For the Love Of the Gods by Brandy Williams. This book is a well researched introduction to pagan theurgy or the study of the Divine and of the nature of the soul.

The author of this book takes a page out of the books of ancient pagan philosophers past by presenting her teachings in the form of stories about and fictional discussions by past philosophers. This intriguing method does help bring the context and content of the knowledge to life, but can also be misleading as it allows the author to put words into the mouths of the ancients that are more reflective of modern anti-eurocentric and race based thinking than would be historically accurate.
