Men Are Converting To Pagan Traditions And Religions.
Many Are Going Back To The Pre-Christian Faiths Of Their Ancestors.
Note: The term Pagan in this article will be used to describe the Polytheistic people who are primarily of Indo-European descent. Yes I'm aware of the original meaning of Pagan basically meaning “country folk,” or people that live outside of the cities and towns. That being said…
The Numbers Of New Pagan Converts Is Shocking.
There have been polls and studies running for decades following the religious trends year by year. Just within America back in 2018, there was roughly 1.5 million people who transitioned to some form of Pagan Religion and Practice. Most were Celtic, or Wiccan, with Norse Germanic Pagan being the second. Then a few years later in 2020, The number of Norse Germanic Pagans alone was around 1.1 million. Other Pagan Groups like Baltic, Slavic, and Greek / Roman Pagans had about 750,000. The Bulk by then were still Wiccan, or Celtic, and they numbered over 1.7 million. All together that's about 1% of the US Population.
For some reason this idea scares writers like Liel Leibovitz, who wrote this gem of an article in Commentary Magazine, that I will give you a sample of here.. 👇
Earlier in this article he referred to Pagans as the “Barbarians at the gate,” and also stating that Pagans are “Eroding the foundations of Judaism and Christianity.” Personally I find these statements to be absurd, primarily because Pagan people tend to live in rural areas, and by the principle of our beliefs we really don't bother anybody. I rate Mr Leibovitz’s article a firm two Fingers up. 🖕 😃 🖕
Putting my opinions aside, lets continue.
The Reasons Being Given For Converting Vary Greatly.
Within the Pagan groups that I have been a part of, there have been a significant number who say that their Christian, or Catholic Church began incorporating politics, or extremist ideologies. Another big factor is from people taking ancestry style DNA tests, and when they get the breakdown, they begin looking into the history of their ancestors. Others say that they always knew that God or God's existed, because of personal experiences, but they had tried everything from attending Christian churches, to Buddhist temples but it didn't feel right. Ultimately in the end they tried the faith of their ancestors, and like Goldilocks finally jumping into the right bed, it just felt more comfortable.
Historical researchers and adventurers like the controversial Edred Thorsson, and the more modern well educated linguists Dr. Jackson Crawford, have both put out some remarkable Pagan material. I recommend the Cowboys Havamal by Jackson Crawford. He made it as an easy to understand Americanized interpretation of the Havamal. This is the title of a poem in the Prose Edda, and a word that quite literally means “the words of Odin.” This 165 stanza poem, was a compilation of ethical and societal rules along with moral lessons, all coming in the form of poetic stanzas.
Oh, and how can I forget, I wrote a book on it also 👇🧐

Finally, the growth of these traditions has been made much easier with the internet. Finding the literature to take a dive deep into these ancient and ancestral faiths, has never been easier. That coupled with the fact that witch hunts do not seem likely to break out again, means that people have been growing more comfortable disclosing their beliefs. Many are even joining local groups, or large online tribes to find people to study and practice with together. That's something that hasn't been able to be done publicly in the last 1700 years. #Freedom

It’s about time we go back home to our pre Christian way of life.
Great article! I have noticed more and more people turning out to be pagan or moving in that direction anyway than I had before as well. More so in places that the warrior mind set flourishes. Soldiers, martial arts, shooting sports etc.
