Resources For Hurricane, and Tornado Relief.
Hurricane Helene, and Milton, Have Devastated much of the Southeast United States. Here is a List of Resources, For Those in Need.
Emergency Housing
For those who lost everything including their home, there is some help out there. Even if you are a long time Florida resident, you may not be aware of many of these programs. These assistance programs are designed for just such emergencies. The first one that I want to bring attention to is FloridaHousing.org, they have a fairly comprehensive list of resources all put together in one place. They have lists of Federal, and State programs for disaster relief, financial aid, and housing assistance of all types.
They do however also affiliate with many other companies, so beware the rabbit holes of advertised assistance with some of the more unfamiliar links. To be cautious I recommend that you stick to the Big, Federal and State Assistance Program links they have compiled.
Federal Emergency Assistance Agencies.
The very next recommendation is the website for Housing and Urban Development, also commonly referred to as H.U.D.. This organization is often conflated with section 8, but is an entirely different entity all together. They have a vast array of permanent housing, and emergency housing programs, along with relocation assistance.

Then we have the infamous F.E.M.A. they have assistance of all types, for those folks who are in legitimate disaster zones. They ARE offering more than just the immediate $750 in assistance.

Then there is the other US Agency, USA.gov, they have some programs if their own, but for some other needs they automatically refer to many people to FEMA.
