Today’s Tarot card of the day was the Two of Pentacles and that comes in right behind yesterday’s card, Temperance but it’s the Rune of the week that sets the tone with Kenaz, the beacon, torch, light or …Opening.
I really want to focus on this rune and today’s card but this card will come into play as well…
Today, as with any other presidential election in our history, we face a choice. I’ve spoken about both metaphorical and literal pendulum swings since last year. Last year, some events happened socially, that began the pendulum swing from the extreme in one direction and now, it’s swinging in the opposite direction.
This is the point where people will take their hands off, relax and say, “Okay, it’s all done now” but I have to be the bearer of some bad news; it’s not. There’s still so much more work to do.
Let me present to you a perspective that some may have not considered. The pendulum will not stop itself.
Those of us who are hopeful right now, we face a new challenge and a choice.
When the election happened, I drew the rune on Sunday as well. It was Thurisaz, the thorn. It also means a successful challenge to the status quo. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing but the next day, that election happened and the result didn’t surprise me. The status quo had been successfully challenged, whether anyone likes it or not.
Now, our path after being encased in Ice (Isa was last week’s rune), we have a light ahead but the question is now, how do we proceed?
One choice we have is that we can stand by and do nothing. Allow the pendulum to swing. Remember when I said it won’t stop itself? That’s true. It won’t. It will swing to it’s extreme logical end.
Both in the realm of physics and in the realm of the esoteric, the pendulum always swings. The Newtonian laws still apply. One is not exempt while the other must conform. Our most extreme, fringe elements will absolutely do the exact same thing that the other extreme did. There will be purity spirals. Everyday people will have to fight for jobs and places to live, money to make or even, in the case of religions that aren’t Abrahamic in nature, the right to exist. Make no mistake, there will be bloodshed as time goes on. We’ll all be set on each other like a pack of wild, rabid hyenas picking at each other, never seeing what we have in common. Soon, the wars won’t determine who’s right or wrong, they’ll only determine one thing: Who’s Left?
By then, our nation and probably the planet we live on will be a hellscape of nightmarish proportions. This isn’t hyperbole. I’ve stated many times in the past that, at some point you’ll beg and plead, “Here, take anything you want, just don’t take my sportball or my celebrities, just keep me safe!”
…how soon we forget COVID was a thing and that’s exactly how people reacted.
Doubt me on this if you like, however, I wouldn’t advise it.
The other choice we face. It’s not going to be fun. It’s going to hurt…quite a lot, actually but better to go through that pain now than have to when the extreme elements make every attempt at making everyone miserable…just as we’ve had in recent history.
We stand in front of the pendulum. We don’t have to stop it at zero, though that would be really ideal but just enough to where the swings are negligible and we just stop killing each other.
Did you know that one of my biggest anxieties was any job I work at suddenly erecting pagan symbols and forcing everyone else to acknowledge my religion even when it went against ever fiber of the core of their being? It’s true. If you came to it on your own, okay, fine, fair game but when the company or corporation does it, it fosters resentment between employees. I never wanted to have people at work turn on each other. It creates and maintains a hostile work environment. Just put the fries in the bag. That’s my entire work philosophy. Do that, make money, to me it doesn’t need to go any further than that.
Starting to see it yet? The minute the company does that, everyone who isn’t of my spiritual persuasion thinks I’m demanding it and they’re being threatened that, if they don’t, they’re fired or somehow otherwise put under the thumb. Might be illegal but who’s going to sue when it costs so much to do so? Now do you see the problem?
It’s one thing to respect and acknowledge something or not. Via a company mandate, you have to look at who is responsible but that’s not what we do these days, is it? All we know is, we perceive that which is right in front of us sometimes, never looking past page 1.
We can stop all of this nonsense today.
Let’s forget the political figures for a second, what are WE doing, you and I, right now?
We can proceed down a well-lit but hardly-taken path. One that will lead each of us to actual peace and prosperity. We come together where we agree and part where we disagree. People do this all the time, most don’t even know they’re doing it.
It has to start somewhere, with someone, sometime. If not you, then who? If not here, then where? If not now, then when?
This unique opportunity at this point in time in our history is going to be marked by someone ready, willing and able to stand against the swing of the pendulum and slow it. The alternative is the same nightmare wearing a different hat. That is not something we can afford.
Liberty can’t be reserved for only one group or another, it has to be secured for all. When I say all, that’s exactly what I mean. You, Me, your neighbors, mine, everyone you see, even if they are seemingly idiotic at times. We need among us, people strong enough to slow the roll of some of our more idiotic and extreme. It’s up to us to tell them that we’re going to be left alone and, if not, we will go to great and terrible measures to ensure we are left alone. Our liberties are not forfeit over bad actors or those who disagree. Just in the past couple of months alone, I’m seeing people truly act up, emboldened by President Trump’s victory, calling for yet another Satanic Panic. Thankfully, I see many people in the same camps telling them to have a damn seat before they’re seated by force. This gives me some hope. That won’t stop me from remaining vigilant. Well before the 2020 election, I saw people doing the same thing that was done in the 80s, wringing their hands over “devil-worshippers” in office.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I have no doubt in my mind that some celebrities, possibly the most prominent, and politicians are, by and large, evil. Whether that has to do with some malevolent entity that is the object of their adoration, that I don’t know. What I do know is that the overwhelming majority of them are cold-blooded criminals and should be held to account for their crimes. That much is far easier, far more reasonable but it is going to take us insisting that these people be held to account for the people they’ve victimized, robbed and put under the threat of force that if our employees’ demands aren’t met, they will then do terrible things to all of us.
Our way is lit by the beacon and the torch. We only have but to take the path where we coexist in a civil manner, at the very least. I’m not talking about the criminals now. I’m talking about us. It’s time we left each other alone.
Maybe just for a little while at least, we just back the hell off of each other. Get to our corners, mind our own business. Stop fuckin' with each other. Stop lighting fires, both metaphorically and physically. We don't have to like each other we just gotta live and work together. We can part after that. People do it all the time, every day, aren't even aware that they're working next to someone who just goes in the opposite direction of proper coffee cups. Maybe, I dunno. The way's lit up. We can see it. We can go anywhere from here. Why not take a chance on that road just once?
I ask this because some of you out there have no idea how close we came to our nation completely collapsing, and the harsh reality of it is, it still could but at least now we have a true fighting chance of bringing it back to being the shining beacon of Liberty and the example for all other nations to follow.
This is our chance and, by the Gods, we will succeed or perish trying.
I find a bit of a comical take in the swinging pendulum from one extreme to the other, and then we see the Isa rune turned over to Kenaz. From ice to fire, the pendulum swung. 😂🤣
But the meaning of Kenaz popping into a context of "we the people" is big. The beacon is shining. So, given that, then maybe it's also our time as Pagan Folk to go stand in the spotlight. Not in the light of seeking fame, but more as in
"these are our beliefs, and many of our rights were stripped away by regulation.. fix it please."
I want a proper open cremation funerary service to be made legal, not to be legally forced into a Judeo Christian burial or cremation.
We have the right to our religious beliefs to be respected, and the final celebration of life that our folks all deserve.
We may or may not agree on this particular topic, although I'm fairly sure that we do, but I see Kenaz and even temperance as saying we stay calm and non-inflammatory, but at the same time put our beliefs in public view.
