Tribal Paganism is the Future.
We once desired to live in bigger cities for the sake of convenience, cost, and safety.
When I say “Tribal” and “Paganism,” above I am not saying that all of these people will be Wiccan, Viking, or practice any form of polytheism for that matter. Their religion actually doesn’t matter at all. Pagan simply means people of the country, the hills, the mountains, or even just the woods. In other words, not from cities or big towns. That is actually how “pagan” is defined. The tribalism part will develope later over time. It will happen as these homesteaders, and small family farms, all begin to network with their neighbors, and form trading communities.
It sounds absurd now, but just look at how we have seemed to “progress” over the last 20 years. Let me give you a good example.
Remember when “The Village” was scoffed at.
In the 2004 film by M. Night Shyamalan, The residents of the village had a small set of farms, a smith, and a school / church. So they had all you can eat, healthy organic food. Everyone had the same belief system, and they were all safe. Now that sounds like a Utopia, but when this movie came out, almost nobody looked at this and thought, “What a great idea !”
Clearly the public sentiment is not the same about living isolated from society now.

There are quite a few examples of this sentiment now, that all seem to center around totally self sustaining, well that, and leaving all forms of commercial consumerism behind. Take a look at the “Van life” trend, along with homesteading, log cabin life, tiny houses, and so many more examples that are all flooding the pop-culture scene. This is something that truly appeals to so many people, that the Television networks are hosting shows like Building off Grid, and Alaskan Bush People in so many variations that it will make your head spin.
It's hard to argue that a future rife with this type of lifestyle isn't coming on fast.
What Is Changing ?
I'm so glad you asked. 😁 Several things have changed, in big ways. First, we can all plainly see the exploding crime rates, the highly imbalanced cost of living, and religious dogma, all taking hold in most of these major cities, and metropolitan areas. So.. none of the reasons that we originally had for wanting to build them, or live in them, still exists. The migrations out of them, is surely evidence of this.
When you create an area where certain ideas like not arresting thieves, and allowing violent crimes become acceptable, the people who do those things can thrive. When store raids, and smash and grabs get shown on the news day after day, and nobody is arrested.. 🤔 The vast networks of criminals in the surrounding areas see it, and all want a slice of that pie. All the rewards of crime are there, with almost none of the risks.
Second, there is the appeal to having actual organically grown food, without the hefty and unaffordable “whole foods” prices. The cost of any type of healthy food has gotten to be absurd. For instance, have you noticed the ever climbing price of beef, or eggs, it has more than doubled in 3 years. On a homestead or farm, these foods can be abundant and self sustaining, with the proper planning.
Finally, there is the aspect of safety. This one is a major trigger for some people. Just look at Ana Kasparian and her horrific story. This woman had previously advocated for the flood of degeneracy into the Metropolitan area she lived in, until she was assaulted by a few of them. Suddenly she was against communities of drug addled homeless people living in the parks and on the sidewalks.
The future of Tribal Paganism has already started, and is growing fast.
