What a ride...
And we're only just getting started!
What is up everyone? It is the Jarl StijnFawkes here. Since my brothers
and have already written and introduced themselves here I of course can’t stay behind.It is currently 3AM as I am writing this so I will probably be fixing and editing this after a decent night sleep, so bear with me for now.
I just want to express my my gratitude and am still in disbelief of how fast we have developed as a Tribe and how far we have come in what has been only 4 years now. The Tribe has grown from a place I started out of frustration with every other group I have been a part of (and they are numerous) into what is now legally recognized as The Grove of Odin Incorporated.
As
mentioned in his introduction post we will always be the same Tribe of the Greyhorn Pagans. That will never change. But now that we are officially a church based, and build on the principles of Odinism we can do so much more. We can do what I dreamt of doing since day 1, truly become a Tribe. Not just be a mere internet community (Gods know there are plenty of those…) but actually be a legitimate Tribe with our own Tribal land that we can live on, or better yet live of. Be a modern 21st century pagan tribe.And all of this truly got rolling because of one guest we had on the podcast. Mister Barry Lynn on our episode titled Defending Paganism and Bumbling Bureaucrats. It was on the 30th of June 2023 that we were live on YouTube recording the podcast and exchanging thoughts and idead and on the 1st of September of the same year that the audio recording got released as well. This was the show that got
his wheels turning. Researching hours on end to eventually file the papers, pay the administrative fee and after waiting anxiously receive word back that we have officially been accepted and are now legally recognized as The Grove of Odin.From dream to idea in 3 years. From idea to realization in 1 year. This is crazy in so many ways and I am here for it!
Josh, Raven, wifey Boo, every single one of our tribal members, thank you. Thank you for making this possible. Thank you for enabling all of us to have this.
This is going to be one helluva ride. So we better strap in, brace and enjoy the ride!
