Why Are So Many People Coming To Substack..
Then Asking Substack Readers To Go Pay For Subscriptions On OTHER Platforms Like Locals, Only Fans, And Patreon???
I'm sure nearly all of the readers out there have seen this by now. You open Substack and you roll through the Notes feed, and BAM! There is some new Substack account, where paid subscriptions are a part of the platform and they are asking Substack readers to go on over to their Locals channel, Rumble Channel, or even OnlyFans, and “$ubscribe.” But not here on Substack… over on that other platform. 🫲 🧐
Imagine going to SubTruck mechanics shop with your broke down car, and then asking them if you can just use one of their mechanics bays to fix it yourself for free. The shop says yes. You pull in, and start fixing your own car, but almost immediately start screaming at the top of your lungs, “Go Pay My Old Locals Mechanic,” or “Go Pay For Work At Patreon Parts And Repair”
This seems like something people would see themselves doing, and stop before they go through with publishing it, but.. no. It's been growing in frequency, and to an extreme degree.
Let me clarify, just so nobody misunderstands. There is nothing wrong with cross platforming your content, and promoting your other outlets of creation. The problem lies when people come to this platform, and the only posts they make, are promotions for the “paid” content on the other platforms they use. Like damn Susan, if your going to peddle the mid life crisis nudes that you posted on OnlyFans over on Substack, at least have the courtesy to set up a paid subscription base on this platform also. 🤷🏼♂️
Personally, I don't want to see home made videos of the pizza guy playing tic tac toe on your grid of cesarian scars, or connect the dots on your back and ass acne. But apparently there’s a demand for all types of entertainment, and a group of patrons to support the creators… whatever. Just have the decency to not shit in the entryway to the flea market where you peddle your goods.
I'll be straight up with you, I'm still thinking about migrating my Against All Odds blog over to here because of the Ease of Use.
