Sacred groves were to watch such events. those stone boat shapes, you could sleep it and watch the stars. you could memorize the sky so well, that you would not get lost at sea.
This is true, but Sacred groves had so many purposes for our Ancestors, that it's hard for us to comprehend.
History is not only stranger than we are taught,
it is truly far stranger than most of us can even imagine.
With our modern perception, and societally programmed beliefs, must of us can't wrap our minds around the reality of what our Ancestors did, to the extent that today we just call it magic.
you should try and find your ancestors memories. they are in your blood. about 8 or 9 seconds of historically pivotal events. if they were there. 9/11 is in mine, for my descendants.
Found one of mine last night. King MacBeth of Scotland ruled for a peaceful 17 years and was very popular. In the last days of his reign, forces loyal to Malcolm III invaded. He fought against them and was killed in battle. His son, Lulach ascended to the throne and reigned for only a few months before he followed his father's fate. That section of my family history book detailing my dad's side sent me running down a lot of rabbit holes. I should tell you my Old West story too sometime. It was wild.
ok. it can last all night. it depends on the sunspots. i was at stanley hot springs for a soak one time (it is a private hot spring on a mountain.) and i watched it along while. it was at the same time as the Perseid meteor showers, so. really something.
I hope to see it for myself some day. Thank you for sharing that though, some of the photographs and videos I've seen absolutely amaze me but I'm almost certain they don't do the in-person sight any justice.
no. i have tried and tried. hundreds of photos of things so lovely they would bend the mind. Times the beauty made me weep. It is truly a miracle if the image comes close. No kind of camera can never best the humane eye and heart. I know what is out there. i have experienced it. no photo can come close. I am an artist, i tried to conjure it myself, still. cannot be done. There is no substitute, for being there.

Further proving that our world is amazing. One may say...even magical.
shot through with magic, if truth be told.
